HOBERMAN, Jacklyn A.

Sept. 18, 1921- April 10, 2013

Born in Duluth, Minnesota to Lou and Bess Kanter. She was a loving and devoted wife for 64 years to surviving husband Ben Hoberman, a retired ABC Broadcasting Co. Executive. A wonderful loving Mother of three remarkable children, Tom (Ellen), David and Joan and a loving proud Grandmother of five, Eric, Sarah, Chloe, Charlie and Hannah Hoberman. Jackie instilled common sense, love and honesty among her family members... she was a loyal, faithful and compassionate friend to many. She loved to play bridge, mah jong, spite & malice, poker and solitaire. She was fortunate enough to have traveled much of the world. Jackie is well known for her cooking, being a warm hostess and giving wonderful dinner parties for which she often created handmade artifacts. When she entertained she loved the art of table setting. She was an accomplished artist and sculptress, making objects in stone, marble, wood and clay. She was a free thinker and at all times true to her authentic self. Her independent spirit was evidenced by a tattoo on her shoulder that she got on her 80th birthday. She frequently said, "I've had a good life." In lieu of flowers, Jackie would appreciate donations be made to Cedars Sinai Medical Center and Friends of the Saban Free Clinic in Los Angeles.
